Here's a screen-used prop from the milestone movie the axe carried by Hugh Glass half-breed son, Hawk, complete with its Certificate of Authenticity. This is Hawk's Stunt Axe, a lifesize movie prop that can be seen multiple times during the movie, especially in the beginning as the Arikara war party attacks the trappers. This is a non-functioning prop it cant chop wood, etc.

Seen largely hitched in Hawks belt. It appears to be cast in a dense, rigid foam rubber, finished to look like a metallic iron blade attached to a weathered wooden handle, wrapped in beadwork. Its wooden handle measures 19 long x 1 ½ thick, and the metal blade is 6 ½ long. The lead photo here shows the prop axe with a Revenant DVD for scale.

Any wear to the axe happened during production, and it has not been retouched in any way since only carefully displayed in a glass cabinet within a climate controlled collection.
