The provenance as it is best known to me is as follows. This was one of the pieces he had when he passed. Seuss's "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" with Jim Carrey.
The piece has slight died green grinch coloring on the fur in areas of the seat cushion. The seat cushion is also stage crafted so that any creaks are silenced as to not effect audio production. Under the seat as pictured is a movie set based on on muted stagecraft wheels stamped with "Shepard". This description is by no means meant in any way to mislead buyers. This is the most accurate account I can provide and the most evidence I have. My personal belief is the chair was made undoubtedly for the movie, and it was most likely used in a scene that was cut or was substituted for another chair. If any further details about this chair emerge I will update this description.
