Basically the baseball team photo from Field of Dreams of the cast/crew you even see some of the ghost players from the film in the photo! This was sent out to cast and crew members only prior to the movie title change by Universal Pictures to Field of Dreams (nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards) so the photo still has the original shooting title of "Shoeless Joe" on it. Also included is the original mailing envelope for the photo from Shoeless Joe Productions (Those black marks on the mailing envelope are not tire tracks and not tracks from a shoe but some sort of postal mark that was done by the Los Angeles post office for mailing at the time). Exceptionally rare photo that you never see from the film plus it even comes with the original mailing envelope.
NOT a movie press kit photo and it was NEVER available to the public. Great baseball historical photograph showing the men and women that brought the Field of Dreams movie to life.
Taken at the bleachers on the movie site during production (with the Ray Kinsella's farm house in the background) in Dyersville Iowa during the late summer of 1988. Shoeless Joe Crew Photo Summer 1988. Shoeless Joe was the original title that the movie Field of Dreams was made under during production.
The title of the movie would be changed after completion of the movie. Again this was only given out to cast and crew members who worked on the film Field of Dreams by the production company which made the classic film. Not all of the cast and crew are in the photo as this was near the end of production during a break in filming and not everyone was there on the day this photo was taken.
I can see some of the ghost players from the cast in the photo as well. This photo was mailed ONLY to cast and crew after filming and the original Mailing envelope from Shoeless Joe Productions is included! Not a common movie press photo.
Photo credit Melinda Sue Gordon who was the set photographer on Field of Dreams. Comes with a hand written letter of authenticity from a Field of Dreams crew member. Beautiful 12 1/2" x 11" black and silver desk frame is INCLUDED (no hanger on back but a velvet type stand for placing the photo on a shelf or desk).Photo is easily removable from frame. Photo has original wear on edges and some small indentations on the right side in a small area (see photos) from the original mailing from Shoeless Joe Productions to the crew member. Photos show the item in the frame and OUT of the frame. Amazing piece of Cinema / Baseball history rarely seen. Field of Dreams was released by Universal Pictures and was nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award.
