Original movie prop book used in the making of the film Copying Beethoven directed by Agnieszka Holland, starring Ed Harris as German composer Ludwig van Beethoven, Diane Kruger as his fictionalized copyist and muse Anna Holtz, Joe Anderson, Ralph Riach, and Matthew Goode.

The book is a beautifully bound oblong composition book (13" x 9 1/2") with dark green cloth at the spine and corners and marbled paper at the boards and endpapers, of the score for Beethoven's'Ninth Symphony. The first page has the following printed inscription from Beethoven to Anna: My Dear Anna, You are the angel of my soul. The only hand I trust to bear it across the tides of time. The book appears in the scene in the film where Beethoven presents Anna with the score of his'Ninth Symphony' after its successful premiere which he conducted with her assistance. There are 178 printed pages.

The pages are printed with printing plates. It is printed on high quality vintage looking paper. The book is very well done to give a period look.

I cannot read music but each of the musical pages is different. Enclosed in a morocco and cloth custom box.
