Original Screen-worn Medieval Style Helmet From 1938 Adventures of Robin Hood

An authentic piece of Hollywood Golden Age memorabilia, these aluminium helmets were originally produced for the Errol Flynn classic "The Adventures of Robin Hood" in 1938 and then went on to appear in many subsequent productions. This one is marked with the name R.

Morales (probably an extra) and the production "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". This would be the Charles Laughton version from 1939 (see the attached photo). It also has the Western Costume barcode. They can also be seen in "The Black Shield of Falworth" with Tony Curtis and some of the Flash Gordon serials, suitably modified. Eagle-eyed film buffs will doubtless spot them in many other films as these helmets had long careers.

Produced by Western Costume Company in Hollywood that was founded in 1912 and who are still in existence today, the condition well worn but good for an 80+ year-old prop that has seen much service, lots of character dents and small repairs as can be imagined, but solid and presentable. He height is about 27cm tall and 20cm deep. A great opportunity to own a genuine piece of Hollywood movie history.
