Pirates of the Caribbean Movie Used Treasure Coin SET (Johnny Depp)
Coin as used as set decoration in the film, The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. The making and using of the pirate treasure is discussed at length in the behind the scenes bonus footage, The Making of an Epic at Sea. This can be seen on YouTube. About twelve minutes in Larry Dias, Set Decorator, discusses the treasure cave as well as Derek R. Hill, Supervising Art Director, who talks specifically about the coins that they dump in the treasure room. They also discuss the rocks that they painted to look like gold nuggets for which we also occasionally sell. Photos included here are screen captured from this behind the scenes video. This special set of treasure coins beautifully framed up includes one of each color of the aluminum coin, one that features hot glue on it from having been attached to the set in this manner (a kind of unique and fun talking point coin), and one of the much rarer solid heavy coins (probably 1 to every 50 of the aluminum version). (display does not feature/include the very rare skull cursed coin) Also comes with two of our beautifully designed and custom made Certificate of Authenticity Cards.
One is for the aluminum coins and one is for the rare heavy metal coin. If you wish to have one for each coin, please special request. We also have a letter of authenticity detailing how we acquired all of our assets at the Logos Theatre if interested. Please request the letter if desired.
