Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest screen used movie prop hero sfx pumping heart of Davy Jones. This is the major MacGuffin prop to two Pirates of the Caribbean movies; Dead Mans Chest and At Worlds End. This particular heart was used in Dead Mans Chest during the scene when Jack Sparrow(Johnny Depp) first opens Davy Jones chest to see the heart pumping. In the movie, the heart was removed by Davy Jones from his own chest after he betrayed the sea goddess Calypso. Davy Jones carved out his heart in order to no longer feel the grief and guilt of what he had done. Because of the pain, Davy Jones would lock the heart away in the Dead Man's Chest and bury it on Isla Cruces, hiding it from the world.

There are a few prop versions of Davy Jones heart. A static version, a stabbing version that sprayed blood, and the hero SFX pumping version. The pumping version, offered here, comes with tubes and 3 pumps.

The pumps still have some movie prop blood on them. The heart still pumps when blowing into the tubes coming out of the heart. It has sea barnacles on it and is finely detailed to look like a real heart. It is made of soft silicone.

The heart does show some signs of wear from production use with a slit on one side exposing some of the inside but overall remains in excellent condition.
