Up for grabs here a vent cover from T-Bird's screen used 1973 Ford Thunderbird as seen in "The Crow" starring Brandon Lee. The history as to how this was obtained.

In 2022 in Wilmington, North Carolina, two cars were discovered at a "Pick N' Pull" salvage yard (a junk yard where customers can pull their own spare parts from junk cars). These two cars were noted to have features which made them undeniably the cars used in the film "The Crow" which was filmed in Wilmington. Features such as a hole cut out of the hood for the engine blower and the custom chrome runners along the sides of the car.

The story on how these cars were discovered can be found here. There were two identical 1973 Thunderbirds used for filming as these older classic cars would break down and were somewhat unreliable. This is not uncommon when filming movies to have multiple "backup" vehicles to prevent filming from being delayed if a car broke down.

I personally salvaged some parts from the two cars - this is one of those parts. These cars have since been compacted and destroyed.

I have video footage of this exact part inside the car and removing it from the vehicle. Screenshots of the vent cover still in the car, and then matching it to other vent covers in the same car, are shown here. Please note the condition of the item.

It shows wear and rusting. The original car was left outside for decades after filming and as a result the interior and its pieces were subject to those conditions. Additionally, the following are included. 1 a professionally designed nameplate for the piece.

2 a manifest copy from the pick and pull showing that the car was in their inventory. 4 an original flyer from the pick and pull.

Given the cult popularity of The Crow, and the tragic circumstances under which the movie's filming concluded, film used props have been scarce and usually fetch into the thousands, or tens of thousands range. This is an affordable way to add a screen used piece of movie history to your collection. The item listed here has been described to the best of my ability. I will answer all questions promptly and will send more photos if requested.
